I have read all of Kate Morton's books. I found her book The Lake House while I was incarcerated. I was hooked and told my mother if she didn't send me the rest of her books while I was finishing out the duration of my sentence, that I might die. So my mom knowing me to be an avid reader, sent me the rest of Kate's books. Id like to say I'm a dedicated K. Morton fan. I had $30 left in my pocket for food for the rest of the month (this is after I got out of prison mind you.) and when I saw Kate Morton had a new book out, I spent what i had to buy her book. Totally worth eating ramen for a month so long as I had access to her new book "Homecoming." Im still currently reading it, I dont want to rush through it. I must disclose though, i'm kind of disappointed. Although her writing is lyrical and her ability to paint vivid pictures with words is intensive. I believe that there is a lot going on in a small amount of time, the book within the book has me somewhat confused at times, i get so far in with Jess and Nora, and then it starts up with Percy and Isabel's family and because im not sitting down and blowing through the story I have to turn back pages to remind myself who these other characters are again. Im not at all saying that the book isnt up to par nor am I saying its my favorite of her stories. What im finding is that its quite familiar with another one of her stories. From the reviews ive read it looks as if im promised a wicked and hard to guess ending. So i shall read on.
