This is a very interesting book. Lots of fascinating characters, but it is a little sad. Because Joe who's just lost his father gets a pup named Patch. He has to train him to be a good helper dog so he can go to Sam an injured officer. By Christmas Patch will have to go to Sam. I am only 12 and I was very lucky to be the first reader in my school to borrow this book
