It was an ok movie with good performances. Gory scenes, and a couldve been hero with a serious mental issue. Character development was shallow. There was a lot to work with with this idea and im disappointed with how it turned out. It basically become/is a b movie horror flick. Spoilers....you never understand what makes him so evil other than his ship telling him to take over the world. The motivation for this kid is no deeper than Dr. Evil. Also his mom plays the typical "oh it can't be him!" Clueless mom all the way until everyone is dead. Its 2020!! Cant our horror movie protagonist have evolved brains by now? I couldve guessed the entire second half of the movie it became so basic. His spaceship cut him? We'll see that weekness play out. Mom still in denial? Yep dads dead. was hoping for a cool new concept, what i got was a 12 yr old micheal myers with super powers. Pretty amazing gore scenes though. Have to give props the makeup and cgi team!
