This film has given me a newfound appreciation for Allesandra de Rosi as an artist. I recall her mentioning in an interview that she was unhappy with the film's outcome, feeling it was better in her head and that she hasn't watched it since it premiered on Netflix. However, for a first-time directorial debut, it's impressive.
The movie is light, funny, but also heartfelt. The chemistry between the actors is undeniably beautiful, and it certainly helps that Piolo Pascual is so good-looking. His charm adds an extra layer of appeal to the film, making it even more enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed it and sincerely hope she gets more opportunities to write, direct, and act in her films. I believe she will only continue to improve and excel.
