Brahmastra movie’s review make me revisit my childhood report cards : “A lot of talent, could achieve better if put in efforts”
First of all : the star cast is extremely talented but under-utilised, no major acting scenes, no major dialogues which would leave impact, bad script writing. It was so bad when Director rushed through scenes, they tried to portray certain emotions but the pace was so fast and dialogues were so out of place that it was not impactful and scenes never did what they were supposed to do.
Secondly, it’s unnecessarily complicated, story doesn’t line up and is mythologically incorrect, hear me out : suppose you invoke the name of Jesus in a discussion then to be fair you’ll portray an example of Christianity to support your argument, similarly if you keep on yelling Vedic god names but show different cultures in your media, it gets extremely vague, I mean the most ridiculous part was director imagining Ranbir’s particular power similar to Uchiha’s from Anime/ Manga Naruto.
So all in all, I would suggest you to rather wait for it to come over OTT and watch it at the comfort of your home for a minimum to no cost rather than killing your time here.
