Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

This movie was so G-coded! I love love love how Harley became this woman who was like “ F love, Ima do my own thing” I feel like the plot is a theme based on independence, Women empowerment, self-worth/self-love. It takes a lot to start over but she did it .. in her own way. The plot was thrilling but there were moments where I felt as if the plot moved fast or certain executions of the plot could have been done better. I also think the “huntstress” acting/storyline could of had a little more kick to it, alll in all great film and it influenced me to go watch all the other movies with harley in it. <3 I also wanted to add that the cinematography and the scenes were so action packed and executed very well. I love that a lot of the weapons had a fun spin to them, like the jail-break scene was a breath of fresh air from the usual guns and weapons used during action movies. I loved how there was a colorful and playful twist to this movie. It just felt overall refreshing. I even liked how the main fighting scene was done at an abandoned theme park. Overall great movie and it also had comedic tones. My favorites scene was when harley was punching the guy that tranquilized her 🤣

This film was very interesting. Originally I thought it was a series, don't know why, but I realized about 30 minutes in, it was a movie. The plot was okay, but there was not really a "climax" or turning point. I will say I did not think the killers were the killers at first until things started to add up. I think the structure of the movie was good, it just was not well executed. It almost gives 'beading around the bush". I also did not like that theme was basically incest lol, a bit strange. Yeah.. strange is a good word for this movie!

As a person who has recently entered her 20s and has a background in health, living a long and healthy life has become something at the top of my to do list. Being aware that your 20s is where most people form mental health disorders and stray down wrong paths, it is vital for me to be conscious of what I do now at my early age. This series was so inspirational, informative, and entertaining. It brought warmth to my heart to see how some people live and to see that the things I value most in my generation, a lot of people still value too. In the age of social media it's refreshing to be grounded by the things that actually matter.

Not a formal movie/show critic lol I just enjoy binge watching good shows from my bed. This series grabbed my attention from the start and kept it. Most times that's a good indication. The plot had a series of twist and turns, I thought a lot of people were in on the scheme, but they actually were good guys. Although the plot was good the storyline of the childhood murder kinda was everywhere like it was blump in the main plot. The ending did take me for tole because I never would've guessed Maya killed Joe at first. I like the characters alot, all of them acted well. I would say this is a good watch!

I loved this TV overall and I am writing this review in 2023 lol. I loved how the episodes were entertaining and kept me on my toes. There were a few I skipped just from being familiar with them by watching them when I was younger. I loved Freestyle unity and their individual personalities. I lobed how Kim stayed true to herself throughout the series and how Nikki always reminded her of that. Monique is an amazing actor and I LOVED her outfits on the show, she is truly a beautiful and talented SISTA. The two major things that I couldn't agree with is the professor being so rude to Nikki and her choosing him over johnnie in the final episode other than that this is a much watch. I think I want to watch Moesha now since this was a spin-off.
