I think this was pretty good, and Sydney Sweeney is a scream queen. I think there’s more to this movie than just the horror, and it says a lot about women having a say on what to do with their own bodies. Maybe it was a little predictable, but it’s still worth a watch. Definitely more gore than I expected.

Simply nostalgic and unforgettable. Watching this gives me an unexplainable joy that is iconic in its style and characters.

I love horror movies, but this struggled to hold my interest. The intro was so cheesy I thought it was going to cut to them watching a bad movie inside the movie. Then the music is so odd at times. The jump scares rely 100% on the music, which is lazy. There are a lot of random cuts that make it confusing and you can't even try to enjoy being immersed because you're just trying to figure out who this random new character is. The cops are super cheesy and stereotypical with bad dialogue. The acting overall is just doing too much to the point where it is laughable. Also one of the cops was literally was sucking on a lollipop over a dead body in a morgue. How am I supposed to take this movie seriously? Definitely not worth almost 2 hours.

(2.5 stars) I had this movie on my list for a while and got pushed to watch it after a scene was all over tiktok. However, after watching this, it was a lot of build up over a forgettable movie. It's not bad, but ask me what happened in this movie six months from now, and I couldn't tell you. It's supposed to be satirical, but honestly it's so on the nose while also saying absolutely nothing new that it just falls short. I like dark comedies (like Shawn of the Dead), but it doesn't lean hard enough into the comedy aspect to actually be funny. So, it just falls short of both horror and comedy. It could've saved itself with a different motivation, more buildup to a big reveal, and/or just original jokes of both sides, but it's only an hour and a half so things go very quickly with little room for suspense. Overall, it's just okay. If you have the time and want to watch something that's purely middle of the pack, it's good. It definitely isn't scary.
