UMMMMMM...movie tells us about a long distance and actually shows the agony that goes with it. Its not easy, nah, just like everyone will tell you. The closing song that says wherever I go, I look for signs of you. The story has shown us more from Takakis perspective. What really hit me is how he has forever lost touch with his real surroundings madly in love with Akari, his bestfriend and the girl in primary school whom he fell in love with. He has no motivation now to open up to other people maybe because he fears he will forget her. Never notices Kunae the girl whos always accompanying him and is mostly sorrowful. I don't believe in such a painful love of a long distance. Forget her Takaki!! Start a new life and maybe when you meet her someday again all that love will flow through your veins again and bring back memories. But no, love need not define your life all the time. But the story potrays these emotions of a long distance perfectly, I have been here and I will never be there again.
