I thought this was really well animated and enjoyable. The plot was a little predictable, but with the aim to follow the less predictable and more entertaining options. Otherwise it would have been your basic "we fight a monster, almost die, fight it again, and win this time" type of plot, which gets old fast. I really loved the adventure scenes, and the ultimate resolution was very cleverly done. The only loose end I wanted resolved was the bit with the witch. It also might have been nice to get more insight into what the changes led to. I loved the themes of reconsidering long-held beliefs, learning truth for yourself rather than following blindly in old grudges, and the nice bit about monarchs using propaganda to line their own pockets at the expense of citizens' lives. Very entertaining, but with some nice, more serious undertones.
