Whilst this book is a medical memoir, I can't help agreeing with the reviewers of the book, that it is a cut above the average in focusing on the emotional minutiae that occur daily in hospitals. Her insight, compassion, clarity and succinct writing brings to life working as a front-line doctor like no other. Absorbing and ultimately disturbing.
