Thought provoking and absorbing. There are multiple threads to this beautifully written story which left me thinking long after closing the cover. Probably the most immediately important and striking relates to the possibility of an exceptional life lived after almost fully succumbing to the violence of a Father. Perhaps the most imaginatively told thread deals with space travel and the blending of human abilities and disciplines it entails. Uncondotional sororotal love makes an appearance. Oh, and there may be aliens. Wholly enjoyable for all the seriousness, recommended.
