It feels like authentic indie cinema. It's contained, artistic, performance-driven. I know trying to touch on this history is considered controversial in certain parts of the world and is probably going to get some trolls. But bravo for not shying away. At the same time, they don't put the gruesome/graphic nature of the situation front and center. It's more about the characters, the in-fighting to survive. A bit of "The Lighthouse" and "Orange is the New Black" if you're a fan of either like I am.
