Best album since Painkiller, and one of the best albums of the past 6 years in general. A brilliant honing of their modern sound while drawing inspiration from the back catalog, and also branching into new sounds so nothing sounds too "samey". They've finally hit the perfect balance they've been searching for since 2004's reunion.

Another middling offering from Overkill. No high points, but also no low points, just more of the same and it really blends together into an amorphous metallic blob. The opening track is a good example of this: heavy as hell but over 6 minutes long and all over the place to the point it drags on and creates boredom when it shouldn't. Another issue is the production: flat and lifeless. It just doesn't do the aggression and grit on this album justice. I'm going to give it a few more spins but I can't see myself seeking this out a month from now.
