This book i read in lockdown period ..as a pdf and had a good time.The story brings us to the world war 2 through the eyes of nine yr old boy named Bruno who is the son of an important commander in Nazi party.They are shifted to Auschwitz for some operation which makes the boy sad for getting seperated from his friends and house.He simply likes researching small things as that is the habit of all little boys..He then one day gets out of the house to research about the fence and people whom he saw from his window.There he develops friendship with a Jewish boy named Shmuel and they met frequently.What happened then?Did their friendship last?was the story.The story had none of romance,vulgarity,dark humor but fully of innocence,kindness,selflessness,friendship etc.You may indirectly come to know the sorrow and life of Jewish people and the conflicts through the protagonist.The book is simple to read and recommended for readers of all age.The way the author portrayed the characters are really magnificent. I was left with tears by the climax and hope u will too...I promise you will surely feel an intense feeling of pity and sad for the people affected in the war and come to know the Real Meaning of FRIENDSHIP....
