Speeding throughly the islands is pretty addicting , and the combat mechanics are a lot more fluid and satisfying then I thought they were gonna be. The Boss fights are definitely the most fun part; just the right amount of challenging with some heavenly rock playing the background. The first boss track took me back to my early sonic days. If your a sonic fan who’s been disappointed with the last few titles , I’d highly recommend giving this game a chance. It’ll put your current perspective of the franchise in a better light for sure. This open world has TONS of potential, and if sonic team expands upon it in a future title the franchise is looking at a bright future. I’ve been playing sonic games since I was 8. Im 21 now, so you’re getting an opinion from a long time fan, though I’m sure I’m not the only one.
