This is really well crafted storytelling, with a perfect cast throughout. As Joan’s story develops we can see how her reckless choices let down the people around her. Yet we still root for her. Very enjoyable.

Beautifully filmed, original and without cliches, the film is helping us take a step into the depth that is depression.

Perfectly put together, great chemistry between outstanding actors. Magic realism at its best. The preposterous story line works so well. Beautifully done.

Clever, atmospheric, but too slow to fully engage

Such good actors, wasted on a ridiculous storyline. Especially the vicar story is ludicrous, so poorly written and ZERO suspension of disbelief. What a waste of talent and a potentially cool criminologist-on-death-row premise.

A sensitive and intelligent insight into a young girl struggling to fit in, facing real pressures posed by the media, social media, cultural expectations and peers. Some scenes however were too uncomfortable and perhaps unneccessary in their graphic portrayal. Overall a film worth watching.

Emancipated women, bringing old tropes into a contemporary setting. Enjoyable to watch, good action scenes with interesting characters - although some deeper explorations of the immortality premise would have helped.

This film stays with you for a long time. We can draw parallels between the amazing characters on both sides of the divide and the people we meet in our daily lives, even though, at first glance, our lives are so different
