I can’t get over how brutally terrible these movies were. I have never read the books but I understand it’s conveying a very toxic and complicated relationship. But there wasn’t enough in favour for the relationship. I wanted to scrape my eyes out every time Tessa gave him another chance. It was abusive and having that mixed with sex scenes made me feel uncomfortable. Almost like that type of dynamic is normal when it is not and he literally set a house on fire WITH HER IN IT and then said lol whoops sorry let’s kiss xx. I hated every moment but knowing my friends love the books watched all the movies. Needless to say I will be throwing rocks at those friends.
