Matt Westphal

I live Wes Anderson, but I hated this movie. How so many talented people could have come up with something so bad is beyond me. It’s a shambling mess, with a plot that wnds up being a meditation on the creation of art. None of the characters were interesting, likely because the cast is so large, and all the actors deliver their lines in a rapid, flat manner. I’m sure that was an artistic choice, but for me it prevented any emotional engagement with the story.
