Well it seems my review is going against the trend but here goes. It is very intense and has discomforting themes, but that's the play. All the cast are excellent in their parts and the set is perfect and very evocative with the small sound effects and fog . It's in two parts ,the day/afternoon, interval then evening/ night . An actual classic play with a great cast and one superstar with reasonably priced tickets , we thought it was brilliant.

Just watched the matinée performance and it received a standing ovation which I joined in with . Everyone deserves praise ,the three main lead actors playing Richard Burton, Sir John Gielgud and Elizabeth Taylor are superb and all the smaller parts are as good. The set design and costume are superb and all in all a fantastic retelling of what went on and the artistic journey that takes place . Brilliant
