Mikaela Forrester

I decided to give this book a listen as it is a free audiobook for Spotify premium members. The first half of the book is hard to get into. Lynette is a hard character to like until about halfway through. Her character was rough around the edges, paranoid, and anxious. Heather was unlikable. Marilyn and Danny were my favorites. This book was an overall good listen, but purely because the last half of the book made it worth it. I wouldn’t say it was a gore fest, but there are some moments in the book where they describe gore and bodily harm. That’s to be expected in a novel like this though, so just be warned. If you like a whole lot of twists and turns, morally questionable characters, and don’t mind sticking it out for an interesting ending then I definitely say give this a read or a listen.
