Holy shit, this movie is bad. Like, it doesn’t even try to be good. It’s an insult to everyone’s intelligence. It’s literally all expository narration from the POV of Colonel Tom Parker with a weird dream sequence-y tone. And holy shit does Tom Hanks suck in this. All of his “accents” sound the same. Oh. It’s Baz Luhrmann. No wonder. Full disclosure, I tend to not like Baz Luhrmann, (with the exception of The Get Down, which was great) dude just isn’t that great at storytelling or character development.
