This is the 3rd book I have now read by this author and plan to keep on going! However, The Couple at No 9 is the best so far. A haunting, sad and twisted tale of the complexities of love, friendship and parenthood. The book definitely keeps you on your toes and is very hard to put down! I shed a few tears at the end. Can't wait to read more by Claire Douglas

Halfway through and it's starting to lose me a little. I'm struggling with the time jumping, it's all over the place. Also it seems to focus more on his career and cases rather than the relationship between him and Alex. She's started being a little obsessed but they aren't focusing on that enough and that is the point of the franchise. Dans daughter and wife's focus is boring and just isn't holding my attention, same with his colleagues. I appreciate that it has a lot to live up to with the movie, but there's very little going for this show. I'm a huge fan of JJ, and also am fond of Lizzy Caplan but this isnt living up to the potential so far... gonna keep at it and plod along
Edit - I finished it It didn't get better. In fairness I don't blame the actors, more the direction and screenplay...could have been so much better. Slow, jumbled and boring
