Love the show and everyone in it except the hairdresser guy, he shows of and seems to think the programmes about him, he makes me cringe

I've watched the programme since it started back in the sixties, and I now watch the new and classic programmes. I'm very confused about Tyrones mum though, when he joined the programme he was soon joined by his mum who was a memorable character and so when she appeared on the programme recently he would have recognised her immediately???
