I watched this with some friends and they said it was overrated... BS, this movie wasn't supposed to be "scary" or make you want to check under your bed at night. It perfectly represents a loophole, which makes everything come falling down on itself. Everything's already happened, it's just the detectives job to piece everything together. *SPOILERS AHEAD* Lee Harker was apart of everything, front to back. A loose minded, Satanic Worshipping Man threaten Harkers mom that he'd take the life of her child. They way he'd kill was through making a doll that'd mimic a daughter within the family chosen by the devil to be killed, (who was presumably turning 9 years old, and had their birthday on the 14th of some year). So Longlegs, (the serial killer) fashions himself and the mother of Harker to kill other families. Harkers mother offered herself as assistance, so that Harker herself could survive and grow up. So the point of it all is that the killer has his chosen people killed once the father of a family is demonically possessed by the devil, which will lead him to kill his family. It is a good concept for a movie, but doesn't really lack in anything. I think the general public expected too much out of the movie, when it falls unto itself, perfectly in my open. The movie is Erie and has it moments of a sudden scare, but nothing to unpredictable. A solid 10/10 for me, but I'm sure everyone else would rank it somewhere at a 8.5/10.
