I'am a western slav, parents both born and lived through the soviet union. Although this documentary doesnt cover everything or full emphasis on everything, it still manages to cover more than anything else ive ever seen. This series takes you through the last centaury of Europe, with a constant intention to follow the history of the soviet union. When we hear about the horrible history in Europe, we only ever hear about one man and his genocide, however, thankfully, theres now more history being shown. All the negative reviews are written by people with deep rooted propaganda world view, they cant accept the history presented here because it goes against their programming and instead choose to substitute their own reality by inserting missing or made up information, while completely diminishing and rejecting the history presented here. Sure its missing some things, that doesnt mean what was presented is not true or didnt happen. One last thing about the negative reviews, they will always pretend that the will of the people doesnt exist, keep that in mind. they'll make up some fabrication and say that they all got fed propaganda by the west, despite a century of the most inhumane treatment of their own citizens under the soviet union. The ones giving a negative review would be the same ones who would gladly put on a uniform and beat a peaceful civilian from their own nation, because they're simple minded brutes with an ego and love nothing more than to lick boots of those in power who have stolen millions/billions for themselves in the bank. Series is good. Go watch it.
