The talented cast could not save this bizarre, boring movie. The fingernail removal scenes are hard to watch, and expecting the audience to suspend disbelief and buy into the ludicrous premise was a mistake. I couldn’t stop looking at Jessie’s horrendous haircut and frumpy clothes, and Jeremy’s role was not worthy of him. Riz is also super-talented but his role was not worthy of him either. I guess Luke was just happy to get a part in a movie, but anyone could have played his one-dimensional part. If we’re supposed to be happy for Jessie’s character in the end when she runs out on her boyfriend for what passes as ‘true love’, guess again. Don’t waste your time.
