It is interesting and emotional as most of the participants have a back story of hardship. It is obvious that the piano for them is part therapy part lifesaver. Mika has a very strong personality and seems to heavily influence Lang Lang. I wonder if there is any chance of a female pianist going through to the final? Also, it isn't clear what the criteria is for choosing the finalists. Is it the excellent piano playing or is it because they are original and have a good voice? 🤔
