The first three wipE'out" games are by far the best. Designers Republic was only involved with them in 1995, 1996 & 1999. The OSTs are a who's who of quality 1990s techno as well. This one (2097) is the best; everything connects just right and is the best example of the various things. the sound design for example; the sound of the ships computer was made with the vocoder attachment to thee Amiga 1200. When the people involved are going to those lengths for something like the voice of the ships computer (which is an amazing extra detail not an absolute neccesity) you know your dealing with quality. And that quality is what really shines through, in every way. They nailed the sense of speed in this one as well. It is perfect. : )
