He is obviously helping to maintain the narrative of negative stereotypes for Black people. I can’t relate to any character in the show and it’s sad that this got greenlit. Misogyny, classism, the same tropes majority America thinks are true about Black people but sadly are not. Tyler Perry is just about making a quick dollar, not about advancing the culture. Trash.

I totally relate to Ruth and keeping it 💯.The entire cast did a great job and I’m always able to watch anything Ethan Hawke or Mahershalah Ali are in. ❤️

I struggled to finish this movie - acting, graphics and plot were subpar.
