This was a new book in our school library. I was searching for a book that would encourage reading to my upper elementary students. (I use read aloud to show students the correct way to read a book fluently - with appropriate pauses, expression, etc.) So, during their snack break I read a chapter book. This book was disappointing. I had to read ahead to ensure I didn't read anything inappropriate to the children. It is full of curse words, kidnapping and drugging of young children, while a child looks for her missing parents. I would not recommend to any age group. It is too boring with the constant perils for older students, too scary for younger students, and over all just not an enjoyable read.
