Roz Forman

I was hesitant about seeing this film. Having taken the plunge I am so glad I did. The acting, story line and style were all excellent. There was humor and satire, in the vein of a Wes Anderson movie. In my opinion it gave much to ponder. Of course, the topic is a very difficult one to deal with using humor and satire. It made me laugh and cry. I recall someone I knew who was a holocaust survivor who told of times that she laughed during the horrors. Her answer to my shock at this was we had to find something to laugh about or none of us would have survived.

Parasite is an amazing film. There is not a wasted moment. It goes from humor to horror story and takes you on a wild ride. It not only reflects what is happening in South Korea, but is equally relevant to our country’s situation.
