If I could reach into the audiobook and shake the narrator, the main character and the author, I would have after twenty minutes into the story. I am sure people observing me probably questioned my sanity as I groaned and cursed about how overdramatic the narrator was being. As the story progressed (?!) I had to stop listening. I agree with other readers, this has a good premise but the book is padded with far too many repetitions and the whining ineptness of the main character is not believable.

Mystified as to how this book was so highly reviewed by mainstream media. Implausible situations, ridiculous behavior by all the characters, especially the "heroine" made me so angry and frustrated that I just wanted to scream. The only real tension or suspense I experienced was my race to return the book to the library. Thank goodness for Libby, at least I didn't have to pay for this drivel.
