Tries too hard for my liking without hitting any high points. The writer was told to make the script more edgy by putting a few more sex scenes, f words, and spliff smoking, to make it less family sitcom and more adult but they don't feel anything other than shoehorned in. The views of the Kent coast look great in HD. I didn't like or dislike any of the characters particularly and Miri's, well adjusted, jolly, I've just spent two decades in the UK prison system, really grated on me the most. Endings are never easy to make work satisfactorily for most writers and this one showed that by tying up any ambiguity and putting this little bunch of ideas back in its box until series two gets commissioned or not.
