An absolute gem of a movie with a sublime soundtrack and stunning unexpected ending. Maggie Smith is luminous as the older woman and together with Timothy Bottoms as her devoted lover, they have a very different bittersweet adventure with many laughs along the way. There are many quirky moments which make this film one which stands out from others. Now that Maggie Smith has passed on, it is worth watching this movie to enjoy her stunning beauty and wonderful wit.
