I first saw this film when I was a very kid. I adored it back then, and I still adore it now. It's like looking at a stunning painting. The graphics are stunning, the story is engaging, and the "Totoro" is cute (not to mention Mei). Miyazaki has declined to follow in the footsteps of other Japanese filmmakers and make the dreadful anime films that are, sadly, common among many of my friends.

This drama is very interesting and very distinctive and is full of unexpected twists. The class at Itaewon is really inspiring and illustrates how powerful an individual can be. Individuals have their own fights in their lives in the Itaewon class and explain how tough problems never get discouraged. There really is a fundamental moral to this drama.
