Bhool Bhulaiyaa3 was eagerly awaited sequel specially bcoz Vidya Balan was back and in addition we had Madhuri Dixit and Tripti Dimri was definitely cherry on top. With 3 beautiful heroines, Kartik Aryan as Rooh baba and likes of Ashwini Kalsekar, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra in comic role, movie was definitely worth a watch. But with this cast and Anees Bazmee as director we expected better fireworks The movie genre is horror commedy but horror was largely missing Lots of forced humour There were many sequences involving the three comic actors but it seemed they were added to prolong movie and were not neatly woven into story. Tripti Dimri and family didnt had any solid back story. How were they related to king or the royal family only writer or director knows Suspense element was good In the entire movie we keep guessing who’s the ghost and who’s Manjulika Last 15 minutes were really good bcoz story was finally taking shape But i feel suspense was dragged till end and more twists and turns were needed in the movie. The movie curve seemed flat and just peaking in the end. Even songs were not enjoyable and again forced. BB series is also famous for its music but this one failed to match its predecessors. Overall time pass, fun movie Carrying forward the concept of Bhool Bhulaiyaa but still not repeating itself But story could have been improved 2.5 stars from my side

Watched the movie next day after release, reviews were bad, trailer was okay…still went for the movie thinking how bad can be Alia’s movie…i was proved wrong The movie premise is easy to understand. Its a movie on siblings relation who were orphaned at young age. the elder sister is fiercely protective of her brother. In first 10 minutes you know the brother will be falsely implicated and will get stuck in international jail. The first half was therfore predicatable but Alia is obviously a delight to watch and you keep thinking in second half there is jail break so it will compensate. But second half is even more rubbish. There is no story no planning. Alia Bhatt just turns into Sanjay Dutt and destroys everything that comes in between to save her brother If the movie was made to showcase Alia’s talent- we already know. But we really needed a story or a good screen play Gumrah from which the movie seems inspired was 100times better. It was so spine chilling that even now when you think of it you get terrorised. Jigra is Absolutely avoidable Too slow, very boring People were actually leaving the hall in between Though acting wise all actors were good. Vedang Raina shined Manoj Pahwa was also good When most important thing is missing(story), nothing could save the movie If the movie had newcomers it could be given 2 stars but with such talent you cant deceive audience So Just 1 star

Madgaon express lies in comedy genre, 3 childhood friends, 1 common dream to go Goa together and create Dil Chahta hai type moments. Directed by Kunal Khemu who himself excels as actor in such kind of comedy, the movie is quite an entertainer. The movie starts from their childhood times when everyone is struggling and moves on to adult life where 2 of them are well settled abroad and the third one is still struggling. so he builds a false narrative about his success. With some twist and turn, they end up in Goa via Madgaon Express and get caught up in drug racket and then the usual drama before the hilarious climax. The best part of the movie is its actors. Divyendu is too good, role is tailor made for him. He delivers comic lines impeccably. Though his character is full of lies but you still love him. Pratik Gandhi is another level. Just amazed by his talent. Just awesome Especially when he changes personality bcoz of dug overdose, he is another level good. Avinash Tiwari is also apt for the role. Upendra Limaye and Chaya Kadam as warring villains are full paisa vasool. Nora fateh in her typical glam role is also good second half of the movie feels a little stretched because of useless song and dance routine. Songs were completely avoidable Not the best comedy but still a decent time pass. Absolutely time pass watchable. Kunal Khemu definitely deserves the credit. Great work as a first time director 3 star

Shaitaan is a horror/ Supernatural genre movie where underlying theme is a father going to any length to save his daughter. Ajay Devgan is a pro in playing the role of a saviour. He as expected has played his role to perfection. The story is about a modern happy almost perfect family going for a relaxing vacation to their farmhouse. On their way they meet a stranger who seems harmless but in no time hypnotises the daughter and takes over the family. R. Madhvan is brilliant in the role. His polished, innocent, educated face delves in to this character completely and enthralls the viewer. His performance literally send shivers down the spine. He is so shrilling, sounding sweet but commanding unimaginable things. His voice is the center piece of the entire story. Janki is also superlative. Giving such a nuanced performance in front of stalwarts of industry is no easy task. From happy go lucky girl to a possessed girl, she was fantastic. Jyothika as a mother was also perfect. The climax is thrilling and intriguing. They have shied away from taking any gods name may be because of turbulent times we are living in. Normally such movies have a elaborate scene in the end where some kind of pooja takes place. Nothing of that sort, simply a father is shown using his brains to stop the villian. Yes, a little herogiri they had to show bcoz of Ajay Devgan else believable yet interesting climax. Movie is not an easy watch for people who are sensitve But if you enjoy this genre then it is worth watching Good storyline Great performances Interesting little twists and turns Overall deserves 3 stars

SLB is famous for the grandeur, opulence, mesmerising beauty, drop dead gorgeous heroines, handsome men in his movies. And he absolutely delivers the same in this astounding series Heeramandi. Every frame is mesmerising, every scene is breathtaking, every character is prepossessing. The connoisseur of such magnifience will enjoy watching the movie. Now coming to the story , its basically revenge drama and one upmamship between the ladies(tawaifs) in the backdrop of freedom struggle. In the center of the story is the romance between lead actors. The story has all the elements but newness is missing. Now coming to actors, all women are ravishing. Manisha Koirala is the best. She is literally carrying the movie on her shoulders. She is just superb. Initially the aura, the grandeur, the dominance, cunningness …then the helplessness, the hurt, broken soul and then again rising from the ashes…..All emotions beautifully expressed by her. She dominates the entire movie. Sonakshi, the second best role fades completely in front of Manish Koirala. Her character had many layers, a little of playfulness, a little of shrewdness, lots of seduction, revenge thirsty ….She was just 1 thing at a time when she needed to be all of them together….. I dont think she could do the justice. She was good. But she needed to be exceptional. There was lot of scope Aditi Rao Haydri, Sanjeeda Shailh were good. Richa Chaddha had a small part but she was also good Sharmin Segal was below average. Didn't expected SLB to go the nepo way. Men were just there for the story and played their part well. Nothing path breaking. Series was good but i think soul was missing. The outside was sparkling but inside was hollow. There was never a point where you feel overflow of emotions. The range of emotions shown didnt have great highs or lows. Your heart beat doesnt gets faster, yea there is a wow factor but it doesnt come from story or emotions. Still needs to be watched for its stunning looks and beautiful women. 3 stars

All India Rank movie is based on IIT dream of parents. This theme is done in many movies and series recently so nothing new left to explore. Director must have thought by make it more philosophical rather than fact i will make it different. Sorry guys, movie is a big disappointment. It has no beginning no end and no middle. Nothing makes sense. A complete failed dad wants to attain succes by making his son IITian….whats new in this. The boy makes few friends in kota , a little bit of humour, lots of desperation. Absolutely boring, done to death. In the end dad realises IIT is not the end of world and the son feels liberated End of movie Wow!!! Sorry for the sarcasm Absolute waste of time No humour, no story, no emotion, absolutely no entertainment Just 1 star

Dil dosti dilemma seems to be about teenage friendship but it is more about 3 friends exploring their individual life. Its a light watch specially for young adults. Its entertaining but nothing new and intriguing. Yes, but they have higlighted one very important issue of todays times - the disconnect between new and older generation specially the grandparents. In the pursuit of social media we have completely ignored our elders, in order to make ourselves likeable on insta we are more than ready to sacrifice real life and real people The positive part of the series is that ultimately the girls are using their social medial skills to bring change in society and also not shying away from giving their fresh take on age old problems. Tanvi Azmi and Shishir Sharma as Nana nani are pleasure to watch. Other actors like Mahesh thakur have not been given good roles or we can say all other characters are half baked. Asmaara’s story is the center but rest 2 stories are not written properly The story feels too far away from reality. So many loose ends, characters are not fully explored, so many relationships un explained. A little more honesty in writing was needed. Lot of superficialness is felt through out but will still say its not boring Watchable only if you enjoy teen genre 2 and a half stars

Laapataa Ladies is a beautiful movie tugging at your heart gently. There is comedy, there is emotion, there is a bit of mystery…and a lot of subtle entertainment. The movie is set in remotest of village still even a metropolitan woman can relate to it. The story is about two brides who get exchanged in train journey because of their long veils. And how they find themselves in the process of finding their real homes. Kiran Rao has done a tremendous job. Characters are so well written, performances are so natural, makeup, dress so real…nothing overboard…just perfect. Showing us the reality of society without being preachy, hailing feminism still nothing against men but definitely taking a dig at patriarchy. When the lady of the house says- i dont even remember what my choices are anymore….i think every women married for more than 10 years will relate to it. Casting is impeccable( i think casting directors are really helping), all actors are flawless. Ravi Kishan just steals your heart at the end. You will enjoy the movie thoroughly, such basic story line but still kept it interesting through out. Such nuanced writing, excellent job done Kudos to new age film makers, no dearth of talent in our country, nepotism or not. Good work will always shine. Songs could have been more soulful, it would have really helped the movie 4 stars

Love storiyaan on Amazon is a documentary series based on 6 real life love stories. These stories are taken from different corners of country each telling a unique tale and facing a new challenge After watching the series, you will once again believe in power of love, see- what can love make people do and how love changes people. It also makes us believe in inherent goodness of humans which at times we feel is lost in today’s world. Ironically, such humble series is backed by Karan Johar who is the master of creating beautiful but artificial love stories on screen. The stories picked are completely different and is told in a way that you stay hooked. The real characters are giving interviews and reliving their stories by sharing it with audiences and similar looking actors are used to actually show the story and incidents from past. As such, stories are interesting but its not easy to see documentary, howsoever crisp it may be. So thats the big flaw. Nevertheless its really heartening to see real love which is not dependent on looks, caste, financial status and any other boundary. Its just love and eagerness to make a life together. If you are all for love, and can be a little patient then you will enjoy the series. It really is an eye opener especially when you see couples all around with all the luxuries in the world fighting for no apparent reason. I watched 1 episode daily and completely devoured it. Will give 3 stars for its uniqueness and for bringing such soulful tales from heartlands of our country directly to our mobiles

Ae Watan Mere Watan is a biographical movie about freedom fighter Usha Mehta, a small story about her contribution in freedom struggle through Congress Radio during 1942 Quit India Movement Sara Ali has been hugely criticised for this movie because of her over acting. But seriously guys it is not possible to play a patriotic character without overflow of emotions. A girl who has to go even against her father to fight for her country…how can she be subtle…yes she is trying to show her overwhelming emotions for her country in every way possible but there is no other way. she may have not excelled in it but she is good enough and definitely does not deserve such criticism. Movie seems factually correct, nice to see 1 more story about our freedom movement. The pace is good, build up is also good, climax seems little lengthy specially when you know its not going to end well Frankly speaking you will feel all the thrill of patriotic movie…nothing more nothing less. All actors are good Emraan Hashmi as Ram Manohar Lohia is a pleasant surprise Sparsh Srivastava of Jamtara fame has also done a good job Sachin Kherekar as father is also nice but her bua(aunt) could been better. Watchable movie 3 stars
