I have watched the movie with my mom just came back home The tears are still there the smile is still there 🥰 I can't explain how happy I am after watching the movie no matter what anyone says due to boycott or bias or anything I am not that blind that I will not appreciate good content There are only 2 slight negatives which I will say in a moment But everyone should see this it is a feel good movie heart touching and very simple The cinematography is first of all absolutely top notch and it's shot like Hollywood movies and the war scenes especially are very realistically shot and superb and the BGM and all the songs as we already know are even better to listen to in theatre Dolby audio Both the kids who played young Laal and Rupa were so so adorable Kareena Kapoor Mona Singh were absolutely sensational and i was so pleased to watch these 2 world class actresses after a long time and i loved Chaitanya's small role and SRK cameo a lot btw they have done great prosthetic work on everyone's look Slightest negative is maybe Aamir Khan caricaturish acting on few occasions Now hear me out his performance is no way terrible or as few people are saying it brings the movie down or something it's not at all that it's very sweet and adorable in most scenes and the simplicity of Laal will bring a smile to your face in gol gappa scenes and all like Forrest did and Aamir's performance in the train and after the run basically the part where he wears pagdi and has a beard that performance is sensational and very natural especially in the climax But yes as the non-beard young Laal he is cartoonish in just a few scenes but in others it wasn't bothering me much personally I was buying it And one more slight negative that maybe second half could have just been chopped by 10 mins Overall excellent enjoyable watch 4/5 This is an unbiased opinion And my mother is a Forrest gump fan and she loved it equally My heart broke a bit to see at the start only 60 people in a 300 seater hall but all were class audience and everyone clapped and stood up when the movie ended and even when interval arrived.

Just not finished watching it with my mother and we absolutely loved the film. Dark comedy is a very tricky genre to pull off but the writing and direction by Jasmeet K Reen is truly superb. A good director has the ability to speak a lot in their movies without dialogues so in this film as well lot of things are communicated through scene similarities and visuals. The humour was quite nice, the issue they picked of domestic violence is very important and the setting of the chawl looked very real and pretty "Gully Boy" like and well we have 2 same actors and the same dialogue writer and actor from the movie. The music by Vishal Bhardwaj perfectly added to the feel of the movie. And then the strongest quality of the film is undoubedtly the acting which was simply phenomenal whether it be the smaller roles or Roshan, Vijay, Alia and Shefali. Alia is my favourite and she just keeps on getting better with each and every project of hers. Roshan was really understated in his performance and so was Vijay Verma who was absolutely sensational in his tough role and Shefali Shah is a veteran and her acting has 0 strain in whatever she does and she was terrific in what she did Overall if you consider yourself in mature audience and not mass audience you should definitely check this out

One thing is for sure that content like this will surely save Bollywood. An absolutely brilliantly made film. I was hyped up when the trailer came out but was just worried about Ajay's direction, choppy editting and underwhelming airplane VFX but after watching the movie I can say these issues are not present even 1%. The first half was probably the best first half of a Bollywood film after Andhadhun especially the cabin, cockpit that was created and the VFX of outside the plane where the clouds, rain and turbulence was showcased was absolutely thrilling, gripping and edge of the seat stuff along with a terrific BGM and Jasleen Royal's song The Fall just added to the environment brilliantly. Few reviews said the second half was a drop off in quality but I didn't feel so because the court room dialogues and the acting which I will come on to in a while just lifted it and it was very well crafted and ended with a brilliant message. This movie should not be ignored especially because we always see underwhelming Bollywood films and say that they don't make good content so when a good film has come out it should not be ignored. And finally the acting by the 3 main characters was absolutely terrific. Ajay Devgn is a master of understated intense performances and he is simply superb in this film. Rakul was extremely impressive and she surprised me a lot in this film and she is improving day by day that's for sure. And what to say about Big B he is just effortless yet again in a court room scenario with his baritone and intimidating presence. Boman Irani was a little hammy in a few scenes but can be forgiven. Please do not miss this movie guys Ajay as a director has excelled in this film and definitely by far his best directorial venture.
