"What seems to us a bitter trials or often blessing in disguise"
-Oscar Wilde
This movie is blatant reality. It's a success because of the number of people who can relate it to it and is written for the 90s and 2K kids. It talks about a trust, carelessness of the current generation, how they look at a relationship casually and cry over spilt milk. There are definitely flaws with writing, some jokes which weren't funny, some scenes that could have been avoided.
Everyone could relate it to because of the problems that they have seen their sisters and daughters face, or are afraid they might face. Today it has became scarier to have a public social media profile than to walk outside in public.
I see a lot of people enjoying the scenes where he is cheating on his girlfriend, using other girls for his thirst, using cuss language. These scenes are celebrated in theatres and social media. This makes me more scared of the society and the mentality of the people than the social media itself.
the climax was very simple and it shows how the female was portrait in our society. Yogi Babu impresses with a heart warming character.
On the whole, LOVE TODAY showcase how a hormone - charged couple turns into an emotional couple. It is the ultimate fun ride, especially for the youth. You can watch it without any inhibition. A few moments in the second half predictable and stereotypical climax.
