As an Asian myself, I feel defeated over the fact that this is a product of PLAGIARISM.
The manga that is the "inspiration" of this is, Seven Days: Monday-Sunday by Tachibana Venio the author and illustrated by Takarai Rihito.
I admit, the story was entertaining. I honestly enjoyed reading this, but the fact that this story plagiarized women of color's art, westernized and owning the plot like it was the author's original creation is such a heartbreaking discovery. I have loved Bryson and Kai, and will always be. I really do hope that this won't happen again. I understand the feeling of not getting enough credit of your own creation that's why I will remove my vote. I hope for the author to reflect, and will take this as a lesson to grow, to understand the pain when someone take credit of the art you've been striving to create. Learn to be inspired from real people and look at the bright side. Everyone can create an art of their own and you just need to find yours. Wishing you the best, and to all the people who aspires to be an author.
