OMG – I've never been so deeply touched by this masterpiece of a movie! It was a set in a landscape of the barren realities that women endured, of that time, and the brilliant & unique mind that slowly emerged through a series of limiting etiquette-rituals and accidental joys of Emily's life and experience. The realities of this young woman's life and her genius were so subtly and perfectly captured and represented – so rich, so stunning! Absolutely – 5-Stars!

It's simply a great story of friendship in the noblest manner. The story, the direction, the perfect casting - it all worked magnificently and has all of the elements of a Western Classic, with the good, bad and the ugly. It's non-stop and such strong and believable characters in Ed Nelson, Viggo Mortensen and Renee Zellweger was such a delight! Jeremy Irons does not disappoint as the slippery villian, either! I put this up there with all of the great Westerns and movie-making - of ALL TIME! The twists and turns are surprising and entertaining - and the ending... well, can't give that away. Thank you Ed for making this Great Movie! Bravo! I've seen it several times and it's as fresh and touching, everytime! I LOVE THIS MOVIE - it has Magic!

Considering the psycho-spa-getaway locale, and all of the complex participants, and their varied backgrounds and traumas, the writing is so unconvincing, and lacks the correct sophistication, that should’ve been there to make concept of the show come to life. It is compelling to some degree, but it is the stellar cast, and acting, that slowly makes it come to life… it borders on mediocre to good, sadly. I do want to see it to its’ conclusion, though.
