S1 review: the main problem is the expectation set up by the poster, vs the shows 'direction' (if it has one). Whoever designed the poster clearly didn't watch the first 5 episodes. But if you give me a poster like that, I'm not expecting a slow boil drama. It's sooo sloooowww, I resorted to watching in 2x ff. I don't think I've missed anything so far. Also the slowest alien invasion ever contemplated by supposedly technologically superior beings (I guess there will be a 'clever' reason at some point in the dialogue). All the character arcs are riddled with overly flogged tropes, so much so I can't help but not really care what happens to them or, worse, look forward to there possibly finally being something like the hint of action that involves the aliens and the characters' horrific deaths - anything to claw back my wasted time on this series. Needless to say, hopefully the writers and director for S2 were different...

I only watched the first few minutes because the cinematography was so rubbish/d-grade. Disappointed because I was really keen to watch something new/totally different on TV.

Seasons 1 and 2 were excellent (5*). Writing for S3 unfortunately full of holes and the plot is entirely predictable. Spoilers... How can senior cia agent have no field experience (per dialogue). How can Russian pres be such a wet (vs his appointee, the canniving defence minister who must be able to teleport at times). Weird (unreal) Czech relationship towards Russia. Totally weird greek subservience to Russian agent. Anyway, hopefully S4 gets back on track.

Imdb lists the 18 rating for this film due to SN content. For a 13yo protagonist. So anyone watching this should legally be 18+, watching a 13yo engage in SN. In the real world, that has statutory r*pe and child p*rn ramifications. Think about it. Reject immoral content.

Disappointing from the start and yet managing to exceed that at the end. Somewhere in the middle it almost found its legs, but a weak-minded nonsensical script that aims to bamboozle through intentional script defects/gaps rather than convince through clever story telling. Decent enough acting, but nothing could save this paradigm of New Hollywood drivel we keep getting slugged over the head with.
