This film will steal your heart. It’s beautifully filmed and the acting superb gentle and understated. Some of it is disturbing ie poverty subsidising income with shoplifting domestic violence. It begs the question of who are the better parents.

Uncomfortable to read and although the railroad is fiction there was a system to move people out of slavery. I found this book educational and emotional and I connected with the characters.
