Firstly google/amazon please stop censoring people's opinions when it does not fall in line the agenda/views the woke/PC minority are trying to push. Opinions are the expression of ones views and should not be silenced. Now I'll begin my rant... This is simply not Tolkien's work... It is a wonderful fantasy world that is supposed to leave you in awe, happiness, mystery, heart break and even shed tears. It is probably one of the most detailed pieces of work with so many detailed characters, places, races and story lines/arcs that it does not require any altering in the slightest and Amazon, congratulations on destroying it. Yes, people say it's fantasy and can be changed. No! It is Tolkien's Fantasy and we are along for the ride. Amazon staff were so preoccupied with what or who they could change, they didn’t stop to think if they should! *The inaccuracies of the races and characters The dwarves, are not bad but still inaccurate off point. Give the females the dam beards they are supposed to have. Its in the lore! The elves are supposed to the be the legendary race of the time, surrounded in an mythical Aura. They are the main race. They are the smiths, artists, diplomats and above all else warriors. They are veterans of countless wars against foes such as dragons, trolls, balrogs and slew orcs in the thousands and even took on Morgoth, a fallen "God" but in this they are portrayed as weaklings. Getting taken down by orcs that have the archery skills of elves for some reason. The majesty of the elves is not there for an exception of two characters, Galadriel and Arondir (the later, who shouldn't have been created, irrelevant and directly conflicting with lore). Don't change the characters to push the woke agenda. No characters should be added or changed at the expense of other greater characters. Galadriel is represented as a teenager on a rant for not being given what she wants. She was meant to be one of the wisest of all beings but here is she an wonder woman on steroids at the age of 15. If you wanted a main women character, use the 2nd high queen of Numenour, Tar-Telperien (relevant to this time and the timeline is botched, I'll go into that below). She was a strong warrior queen of the proud race of Numenour. That would've been a much more interesting character to develop as there is not much lore/detail on her. They dropped the bar even lower for the great characters of Elrond and the last High king Gil Galad (of the Noldor elves in exile). They are portrayed as scheming, corrupted politicians rather than the great leaders they are supposed to be. In the lore if it wasn't for the leadership and foresight of Gil Galad and the resourcefulness and charisma of Elrond the elves would've been doomed. Time line inaccuracies (S.A is second age) Simply put, the forging of the rings started approx S.A. 1500 The war of the elves and sauron happens approx S.A. 1697 Numenour's ruler at the time High Queen Tar-Telperien ruled from S.A. 1556 - 1731 and leading her armies in the war assisting the elves was her nephew and next King, Tar-Minastir. They loved and had a great relationship with the elves. In the amazon series, king Ar-Pharazôn was leading the Numenourians. He was the last king before it's destruction approx S.A 3255-3319. There is a time gap of 1500 years. How did Galadriel end up there during his reign? In all this could've been handled soo much better but as usual greed (the Tolkien estate/amazon for allowing the changes to happen) and the woke agenda destroyed it!
