Cinematography and sound were excellent. Overall the acting was pretty good too. And there were some excellent tense scenes. But the central plot about an experienced war journalist passing on the torch to a young newcomer was awful - predictable, dull and made the suffering of other characters feel exploited in order to serve it. Works as an action film but offers no real political commentary or insight on the possibility of a new civil war in the West.
