Beautiful, understated, true, human. The 2 young actors who played the protagonists were amazing; the adults were perfect. It connected, and will stay with me for quite awhile. This is what I go to the movies for.

Nothing imaginative, original or interesting. Overdone with military battle sequences - lots of explosions, fire and destruction - boring; miserable cliche-ridden dialogue; and violence against (CGI) animals. Don't waste your time and money.

Many flaws as a film, but if you're a Downton fan, see it. Too many storylines, some adding nothing to the overall picture; coupling everyone up; key scene at the end badly written. Overall frantic pace with a few really good scenes. Not up to Julian Fellowes usual quality.
