A fascinating book, well researched with a new perspective to understand the development of languages of India, especially the north west(Pakistan, including).For a long time I used to believe that Tamil & Punjabi have certain similarities. After reading the initial chapters this belief of mine has been proven correct by the writer. Also she has taken examples from Bhojpuri,which was the native language of her ancestors and also happens to be my mother tongue.It will further help in understanding the History of India through its languages.
