I wish Disney would stop ruining Star Wars by trying to make it dark. Part of the fun of Star Wars is that it was... fun! This show show paints the Jedi as a sinister force of idiots who don't even know their own teachings. When a senator confronts a Jedi and says "I don't trust you because you are trying to teach your padawans to control the uncontrollable - your emotions" it is beyond me why the Jedi doesn't respond with "We aren't trying to do that at all. We are trying to teach them to not let their emotions control them." Instead she gets huffy, shows him the door, and then goes out and lies about a bunch of murders and who committed them because, well, I guess because that's what Jedi apparently do in this series! Meanwhile the Sith come across as people who just wanna be free to not be told what to do. None of it really follows a true Star Wars tradition. If you wanted to tell this story then you should have created a different universe to tell it in.
