I was so excited to watch this movie. Rob Zombie flicks are always such a guilty pleasure. When there was no kill at the beginning of the movie, we were like “huh, I guess it’s building up to something crazy”. I really kept believing some huge explosion of violence would finally begin and last for the rest of the film. It never happened. Throughout the whole movie I kept thinking “what is going on here?” Just so slow. I sat through the whole thing and was rewarded with a lobster monster at the end. I gave 3 stars because I like Rob Zombie and I don’t want to hurt his feelings. It’s obvious a lot of effort and thought went into the production of this snore-fest. My boyfriend (who introduced me to RZ films) literally fell asleep. Good story. Bad telling.
