This is the first time in a long time I've ever played a game that ever felt so fluent in its:
- combat / platforming
- intrinsic/extrinsic rewards
- music
- storytelling & narratives
ALL. AT. ONCE.
Also, maybe I'm just a sucker for the themes, too, but this is the first time in my entire life that I've ever cried from a video game's ending. Intensely bittersweet in its own ways, but beautiful nonetheless, with a hopeful gleam to it.
