Awesome TV series so far! It really connects the classic and new characters very well, the aesthetic, the mood, the original trilogy, the prequels and the sequels too. In fact, as a Star Wars fan I´m quite exited of how this show develops. The last episode was WOW! Amazing!
The only thing I´m not convinced at all (the reason I didn´t give it 5 stars) is about the music. Star Wars always have had a very strong connection with epic and symphonic music in order to develop the characters, the story and that huge world of fantasy. Maestro John Williams and his space opera made possible to put Star Wars where it belongs into the pop culture right now. Without this kind of music all that universe lacks the impact and the emotion we´ve experienced through the years.
In fact Williams created a new haunting theme for Obi Wan for the credits and that was mostly heard in the first episode here and there. Apart from that, the score composed for Natalie Holt...so far...is just generic music, nothing connected with emotions. There are not recognizable leitmotivs like the force, old empire or Vader himself used in this case. So the music lacks its function as a character in Star Wars and doesn´t help to build the necessary emotion into the story. That´s a shame....
